Weather - Nov 17, 2018

Received an email from Michael this past week that replied to an email I had sent of a snow storm that we had here in Fargo. He said that he "missed the cold because the weather never changes here, it is always sunny and 70 degrees". Poor guy, must be horrible to have to be in that weather and to see palm trees ever day.

Baptism - Nov 15, 2018

There was a wonderful baptismal service on Thursday, Nov15 where an entire family was baptized. Michael and his companion, Elder Martins, were the missionaries that helped prepare this family. It is a family of five and they seem quite happy to have found The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over 300 people were in attendance for their baptism.

Golden Plates - Nov 12, 2018

Transfers were this past week and Michael received notice that he was staying in San Clemente and remaining with his current companion, Elder Martins. Michael was assigned as a district leader which means he oversees all of the missionaries in his district (everyone in the picture). Looks like an amazing group of missionaries!

He also had the opportunity to go over to a member's house that lives in the ward he serves in that engraves replica gold plates.

He even engraved Michael's testimony on a "plate" for him.  Pretty cool!

Pumpkin Carving - Oct 31, 2018

The missionaries are not allowed to go out on Halloween night which is a good idea. All of the missionaries from his district had a pumpkin carving party.  Looks like they had a fun time.

Trunk or Treat - Oct 28, 2018

The missionaries were able to have a bit of fun at their ward's trunk or treat party. Can you guess what each of them are?

Disaster Training - Oct 27, 2018

The missionaries in Michael's district had the opportunity to volunteer for assisting training for natural disasters. They each were a different type of injury "victim". Looks like they had fun and seemed appropriate for just a few days before Halloween. Good thing they were not really hurt.

P-Day - Oct 22, 2018

Michael was out having fun with other Elders from his zone for p-day. Not sure why the elder to his right and his companion (Elder Martins) on the far right don't look happy.

Here is a picture of Michael with the two elders he served with when he first arrived in Irvine, CA. Not sure why he has a mug that says "I pooped today!" Good to know that he is staying regular.
