Weekly Email - 8 April 2019

Hi 

So this weeks highlight has been general conference and it was so good. I loved Elder Holland's talk on the sacrament and the importance of remembering the true meaning and taking time to solely focus on that. The rest of this week was great nothing ground breaking this week just a really great time to ponder and grow day by day. 

 

We had a music devotional and brought people we are teaching who really loved it the singer was Kevin Odekirk a Broadway singer. And it was themed on the plan of salvation and hope it was really powerful. Love yall and thanks for the support.

General Conference - 6 April 2019

Elder and Sister Sansom (senior missionaries) hosted the Newport Zone missionaries for dinner following Saturday's General Conference sessions. This was one of their last missionary dinners because it was their last week of their mission and they were going home. Sister and Elder Sansom are amazing people and I cannot thank them enough for taking the time to post/send so many pictures of Michael and most of all for the love and care they gave to all of the missionaries. They will be missed in the mission for sure!

Weekly Email - 1 April 2019

Hi everyone,

My week has been fantastic but I dont really remember what exactly happened (that's what a journals for) but it was great I remember the feelings I felt and I know that God loves me and everyone more and more each day. There is no doubt about it. No one could say or do anything that would make me question that. I pray daily so I can know that more and I do everyday and I know you all can too. I know you can receive the witness that God loves you and wants what's best for you. Thanks everyone for your support!

Weekly Email - 25 March 2019

Hello everyone,

This week went well over all I dont exactly remember what happened but it was good. We were able to teach a lot of people and change a lot of lives too. We played quidditch today (the game from Harry Potter) that was fun. 

I found a verse that I really like and it's not really what it is supposed to mean but this is what it means to me. The verse is Alma 11:29 "and he answered, No." Its simple but what it means to me is that all we really need to do is TRULY say and mean no when we are tempted, or someone is trying to tear us down, or we feel we are going through a hard time, anything that is negative all you need say is NO. It is such a powerful word and when used correctly and righteously it is powerful and will be a tool to crush Satan's head. I testify of this in the name of Jesus Christ amen. 

I have  enjoyed being out in the field I have grown a lot and have a lot of good new perspectives that have helped me grow stronger and stronger daily. Thanks for all that you all do!

This is quidditch for muggles (non-magic folk). Players use brooms but just run around on the ground with them between their legs. Hilarious to watch!

Weekly Email - 18 March 2019

Hey everyone!

This week was a good one. We taught a ton of lessons and were able to even find some people in this very affluent area. It is cool to see the many miracles that can come from going and doing the work with all your heart might mind and strength. We taught some of the youth and families in our wards the missionary lessons so they can know them and so we can be better teachers and it is so much fun. This week I also came upon a scripture that I really like in Alma its Alma 5:13

 "And behold, he preached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God. And behold, they were faithful until the end; therefore they were saved"

We need to put our trust in the true and living God and in our savior Jesus Christ and if we do so we will be saved and uplifted here in this life and for eternity in the world to come. I love The Book  of Mormon it teaches things like this through the whole entire thing and I would invite you all to read it.
