Emailing Family and Friends Time - Sept 24, 2018

On p-day Michael and the other missionaries get to email family and friends. Here they are busy on the computers in the family history center at their stake building. We are so grateful and happy when we hear from Elder West.

First Baptism - Sept 22, 2018

 Michael participated in his first baptism as a missionary. He had the opportunity to teach this young man prior to the baptism and said that his spirit was so strong. He was baptized by his stepfather and Michael was one of the witnesses.

P-Day Kickball Fun - Sept 3, 2018

On P-day (preparation day) the sisters and elders in Michael's zone got together to play kickball. Looks like they had a blast.

Birthday Presents from Michael - Aug 30, 2018

Michael sent Jen and I birthday presents. They have these at the MTC in Provo, UT. Very cool gift! Thanks Elder West!

First Zone Conference - August 29, 2018

Michael attended his first zone conference. This is an opportunity for all of the missionaries in the area to come together for training. We found out he is serving in the San Clemente Zone.

Mike's First Missionary Companions - Aug 25, 2018

Michael is serving in his first companionship with Elders Burrows and VanDyke, who are the zone leaders. The mission president assigns missionary leaders to help him direct the work and to help the missionaries in their area to successfully fulfill their purpose. Among the leadership assignments in the mission are trainers, senior companions, district leaders, zone leaders, and assistants to the president. These two elders are zone leaders and Michael's trainers. Michael sure looks tall. With dress shoes on, he usually comes in around 6'5", so I guess he is tall.
